Child of MINE
Child of Mine is an integral part of EM’s blueprint. In african culture children don’t exist in isolation to their family. In the earliest stages babies are attached to their mothers, who typically carry them on their backs wherever they go, including work. For mining mothers this means they carry their babies while washing gold. Creating a safe space for the baby while working in the mine ensures that the child has a place while remains integrated into the daily activities of a mining community.
Building compostable daycares in close proximity of the mine ensures that the child is cared for in a safe space and educated when it’s old enough
